Franse delegatie op bezoek
Begin 2025 verwelkomde Maakhaven een bijzondere delegatie. Op 21 januari ontvingen we DutchCulture, culturele attachés van de Nederlandse ambassade in Parijs en het Institut Français. Hun doel: negen kunstinstellingen uit Hauts-de-France introduceren in de Nederlandse culturele sector en samenwerking te bevorderen.
Naast Maakhaven bezochten zij Stroom Den Haag, het Kunstmuseum Den Haag en het Fotomuseum Den Haag. Wij zijn trots deel uit te maken van dit initiatief.
Tijdens het bezoek gingen de gasten in gesprek met kunstenaars in hun ateliers, waarna een lunch werd verzorgd door Haagse Hapjes. HAL1 was daarvoor getransformeerd in een door REFUNC ontworpen installatie met ‘verbinding’ als centraal thema. In een ander deel van de hal werden ‘conversation pieces’ en video’s getoond met beeldmateriaal van de deelnemende Maakhaven-kunstenaars.

French Cultural Delegation Visits Maakhaven
In early 2025, Maakhaven welcomed a special delegation. On January 21st, we received DutchCulture, cultural attachés from the Dutch Embassy in Paris and the Institut Français. Their goal: to introduce nine art institutions from Hauts-de-France to the Dutch cultural sector and stimulate collaboration.
In addition to Maakhaven, they visited Stroom Den Haag, the Kunstmuseum Den Haag, and the Fotomuseum Den Haag. We are proud to be part of this initiative.
During the visit, guests engaged with artists in their studios, followed by a lunch provided by Haagse Hapjes. HAL1 was transformed by REFUNC into an installation with 'connection' as its central theme. In another part of the hall, 'conversation pieces' and videos were displayed featuring work by participating Maakhaven artists.
