Maakhaven is a workshop complex in Laakhaven, in The Hague. Once home to the Batavian Oil Company, now this historical, industrial building is a place for creative entrepreneurs, artists, designers and craftsmen. This diversity of the makers creates a large network, giving opportunity for interesting collaborations.
Maakhaven was founded in 2001, and recently it transformed into an independent, permanent workshop complex. There are 45 workshops, studios and work spaces in the building, and there are also spaces available for temporary projects and events.
