In an age when space, any space, immediately becomes advertising space, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to seek refuge from the aggressive visuals and slogans of commercial advertising.
Baracca turned to the East for inspiration, and found in the rich tradition of Islamic decoration and ornamentation a more harmonious and graceful way of covering large surfaces with three-dimensional sculpted texts.
We stirred in a good measure of bold graffiti-inspired design and dubbed the end result fontscape.
Both text and texture at the same time, the fontscape can be applied to anything from architecture to furniture to autonomous art projects.
